Ready to put those crochet skills to work? Our Private Kids Crochet: Level 3 – Project Skills class is designed for young crocheters who are ready to take their skills to the next level by starting a project of their choice!
Skills and Techniques Required
This is a Level 3 class. Before enrolling, participants must have completed both our Kids Crochet: Level 1 (Beginner) and Level 2 (Next Steps) classes and feel confident applying the techniques they've learned.
Children should be comfortable with:
Basic crochet stitches and chaining
Creating a magic circle and working in the round
Increasing and decreasing stitches
Maintaining stitch counts and recognizing stitches
Following basic crochet instructions with minimal assistance
Please Note: This class focuses on applying previously learned techniques to a crochet project rather than teaching foundational skills. If your child is still developing confidence in any of these areas, we recommend repeating the appropriate Level 2 technique class before enrolling in Level 3.
During this 60-minute private class, your child will receive personalized, one-on-one instruction to help them understand their chosen project, get started, and build the confidence to continue working on it independently.
Choose your Project
Select ONE of the following projects when booking:
Amigurumi Whale: Learn how to begin crocheting a cute stuffed whale using basic shaping techniques.
Amigurumi Bumblebee: Get started on an adorable crocheted bumblebee while practicing working in the round and shaping.
Granny Square Drawstring Bag: Learn how to begin creating a functional bag using granny squares.
Bucket Hat or Toque: Get started on a wearable crochet project while learning how to follow the pattern and work toward the correct shape and size.
Have your Own Project in Mind?
If your child is already working on a crochet project or has a specific project they'd like help with, we encourage booking a 1-on-1 Crochet Project Help session instead.
These sessions provide personalized guidance with understanding patterns, troubleshooting mistakes, learning the next steps, or getting unstuck on their own projects.
Please Note: Our Level 3 class focuses on one of our pre-selected projects. Children wishing to work on a different project should book a Project Help session instead.
What to Expect
During the session, your instructor will help your child:
Understand the materials and pattern needed for their chosen project
Read and follow the project's instructions
Learn how to begin their project correctly
Practice the stitches and techniques required
Understand the next steps so they can continue independently
Please Note: This class is designed to help your child start and understand their chosen project, not complete it within the 60-minute session. Most projects will require additional time and practice at home.
If your child needs further guidance or assistance completing their project, additional 1-on-1 Project Help sessions can be booked separately.
