Our Private Kids Beginner Crochet Class introduces young learners to the basics of crochet through personalized, one-on-one instruction in a fun, supportive, and relaxed environment at The Knotty Brew.

Designed especially for kids, this private class allows your child to learn at their own pace while receiving the dedicated attention and guidance of an instructor. The focus is on creativity, patience, building confidence, and having fun while learning a new skill.

Skills Needed: No prior crochet experience is required. This class is suitable for complete beginners and is designed to gently introduce kids to crochet at a comfortable pace.

During the private class, your child will learn how to hold a crochet hook and yarn and begin practicing foundational crochet skills and stitches. With one-on-one instruction, the instructor can adapt the lesson to your child's individual learning pace and spend extra time on areas where they may need additional support.

Every child learns differently, and mastering crochet takes practice! Additional private sessions may be booked if your child would like more time to practice and build confidence with their new skills.

Private classes are scheduled by appointment and are subject to instructor availability. Purchasing the class does not reserve a specific date or time.

Important Note for Parents

Parents or guardians must remain on-site with their child for the duration of the class. The Knotty Brew is not a childcare facility, and children may not be dropped off unattended.

This class is recommended for kids ages 10 and up (8+ if advanced), as crochet requires basic fine motor skills, focus, and the ability to follow guided instruction.

We recommend arriving 5–10 minutes before your scheduled class to order your child's drink and get settled. This helps reduce interruptions and allows the class to begin on time.
